PAMELA J. BROTHERS Pamela J. Brothers, MD, 41, of Lake Monticello, Virginia, died Sunday, November 24, 2002 after a courageous battle against malignant melanoma. Born June 10, 1961, she is the daughter of Carl and Marjorie Brothers of Lake Meade, East Berlin, PA. Additional survivors include her sisters, Barbara B. Kline of York, PA, and Karen B. May of Lemoyne, PA, and her nephews, David M. and Andrew T. May. She was preceded in death by a brother Ronald H. Brothers. Pamela was a graduate of Cedar Cliff High School in 1979, Franklin & Marshall College, Lancaster, PA in 1983, and a graduate of Temple University School of Medicine in 1987. She practiced Emergency Medicine at Carlisle Hospital (PA) from 1993-1997 and Martha Jefferson Hospital (VA) from 1997 until June 2001 when her cancer was diagnosed. She was a member of the American College of Emergency Physicians, Grace & Glory Lutheran Church, Lake Monticello Owners Association, Ladies Golf Association, Second Fridays Happy Hour Group, and Glenmore Country Club. From the time of her diagnosis of malignant melanoma until just before her death, Pam wrote a daily entry into her www.pamfightscancer.com web site. Funeral services will be 7:30 PM Tuesday, November 26, 2002 at Church of Our Saviour Episcopal Church, 1165 E. Rio Road, Charlottesville, VA, with her pastor, Rev. William Stewart, officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:30 PM Tuesday until 7:30 PM at the church. Hill & Wood Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements in Virginia. A second funeral will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 2000 Chestnut Street, Camp Hill, PA, on Saturday, November 30, 2002, at 11:00 AM, preceded by an hour of visitation at the church.
