[500] 10/29/01 Pam: Sounds like you are having a ball at your friend's home.Hopefully your golf will improve!!!At least you are not trying to play in cold weather - that is really miserable, to be cold and shoot a lousy score!!I didn't buy Reading completely out but did my share. It was wonderful to be with my family. Love and prayers Joan

[498] Hi Pam. Just returned to my daughter's house in Chesapeake after 5 days baby sitting my youngest son's kids in Yorktown. So glad to hear those little platelets jumped way up there since I last talked to you (10/16) and that you've managed to get in some golf before this very cold weather started. Boy, Joan doesn't cut you any slack, does she? Well, surprise, surprise. My friend, Bill, that lives in Madison (acutally in Hood, VA) raises Chianina cattle. Got into that business about 14 years ago when he built the house up there. Since I never find anyone else who has ever heard of them, I was really surprised to hear that your Dad raised them. Bill has now gotten into Chiangus raising because the fullbloods weren't very well received in VA, probably due to lack of knowledge. Some day when I get over there in my house we'll have to talk cows!!! Bill and I named all the babies with Italian names beginning with "G" (Gieuseppe was our first born) until he had to start selling some of the youngsters -- then we couldn't stand to give them names. Needless to say, he never even considered butchering any of them. I think I'll have fun when I meet your Dad -- talking cows with him. He'll think I'm nuts. Wait til you tell Joan that your Dad had the same kind of gigantic white cows that Bill has! Well, have a good time in SC and keep feeling better. See you when I get back to the Lake to move into my house. Love, marilyn
[497] Hi Pammy!
Reading your Journal shows things are getting back to sorta normal. Glad your feeling better. Just in time for the golf season to be winding down. What will you do to stay in shape for the winter. You can't be a Carhop girl getting excercise all winter. On second thought, why not. One sip from each one to test it for the customer might be fun.
Marty S.
[496] Hi Pam, Got to see your Mom & Dad at last night's awards banquet at the club. Love Carl's hair cut. I just had to touch it. MARTY actually got a prize last night. He and Bill Jakeway got something for the Old Pals. Tonight is Trick or Treat at the Lake. If we don't get many kids, I guess I'll have to eat all of the candy. I guess that's why I buy all my favorites. Keep hitting them long and straight. You're ALWAYS in my prayers. Love, Connie

[493] Hi Pam! Glad you made it to Tammy's safely. Why don't you put a bone in your red wig and go as 'Pebbles, the car-hop'? Just a thought. Have a great time. I'll be off all next week. Call when you get home!Love, Barb
[492] 10/24/01 Pam:If the truth must be known YOU beat me yesterday by 4 strokes only because I was tired before we started!!!!What fun. Just wait until next time!!Enjoy your trip and I'll see you on your return. Love and prayers Joan
[491] Dr. Pam: Your 18-hole score sounds like our beginning 9-hole scores. Great going, even on a limited supply of red cells. Must be the steak dinners. With CaP, I am advised to stay away from red meat. After radiation and hormonal therapy, it was a good day when I could cut the chicken filet on my plate w/o tiring! Blessings, Frank/Joan Sola
[490] 10/23/01 Hi Pam: Welcome home if only for a few days.I played golf Sunday and shot a 112. We play beat the pro in today's ladies league game. Weather is supposed to turn cool by the weekend just in time for our yearly trip to the outlets in Pa. Will see you or talk to you soon. Keep hanging in there!!!Love and prayers Joan
[489] Hi Pam, just caught up on the journal entries since you were here for "Dad's Soup." I'm looking forward to the Halloween costume photos on your site. Especially the car hop outfit. Did you get the fishnets? They'd be great. Still think you should have taken my teeth, that would complete the outfit. Have fun in SC. Hugs. Nancy
[488] Pam: Just got an e mail note from Barb and she told me about your fight with cancer. Don't know if you remember me, but Barb and I were roommates at York College. I just finished reading your journal and I have to tell you how brave I think you are. Your notes are a true testimony to the spirit of the human soul. Keep writing them. They are a true inspiration.
PS. You just got added to a ton of prayer lists, so November's scans will be well prayed for.
Evie Miller (Evie Smith) Dallas, Texas
[487] 10/22/01 Hi Pam: Read your entries and am so happy you are eating and feeling better. How did Margie play? No fair Margie getting all that practice!!I plan to play today hopefully 18 holes if it's not too slow. I doubt Pam that the platelets are the cause of your bad golf!!!However any excuse will do!!Love and prayers Joan
[486] Pam, just had dinner with your Mother at Range End. We, George and Rena Ehly heard of your wonderful website, and how it got started. If anyone can beat it - you can. I remember only meeting you once, but you left an impression. Our prayers and love are with you.
Your former neighbors, and co-worker, George. When you are home you should stop in the new Carlisle Hospital Cancer Center. They have come a long way. We toured it during an open-house function.
[485] Hey, Pam! I agree with Barb- you did the right thing, and I agree with Joan- your neighbors certainly didn't mind- and they are great. So, about the lobster- if your mom can't be there, can I have hers??? Barb can bring it in to work tomorrow- I'm there from 7 am till 3:30. Have a great visit with big sister! Marcia G
[484] Hey Pam, You did the right thing (and the same thing I would have done) by getting your 'head' into the ER. Did they determine what was the cause of this terrible headache? How's your blood pressure? I have something for us to do (non-stressful) when you come over on Sat. morning. I'm excited for your visit! See you tomorrow. Love, Barb
[483] Hi, Pam, I just thought I'd visit your site and let you know that we are all thinking about you and praying for you here in Indy. -Daniel Tolbert
[482] 10/18/01 Pam: I hadn't read your entry before I called and left a phone message. You are a totally brave person. I know for sure Al and Lou didn' mind missing a little sleep. The results of all the tests are wonderful!!!Once again drive carefully and say hello to all your family. Love and prayers Joan.
[481] 10/18/01 Dear Pam, just a note to report our continued enlistment in the PPA--(Pam's Prayer Army). We are not "Summer Patriots"; we are in for the duration.
With trust in the Lord, and Christian love to you, Paul and Demi May
[480] 10/17/01 Hi Pam: It was great to see you today after you finished golf. After we finished we went up to have a cup of coffee. Al was there and told us you had played and done quite well for your first time out after this last round of chemo. Just how long are you going to use chemo as an excuse????Love and prayers Joan
[479] Hi Pam, Marty always says, the trouble with having nothing to do is that you never know when you're finished. Doing nothing really does make you tired. Marty went to Chicago on Monday,so it's just the Vodka Dog and me holding down the fort. I fly to Chicago Thursday and Vodka goes to doggy jail. Marty is at a trade show and I'm going out to help him work the booth. I'm going to be a "booth babe". Ya think I'm too old for that yet?? At least I won't be going to the club this weekend, so you can have my share of lobster. Hope both you and your platelets improve real soon. Love, Connie
[478] Hi Pam recieved your email a while back!! so good to hear from you!! You definately need to stop in Carlisle ed sometime!! we talk about you often and you are in many of our prayers!! Let me know when you think you might be up to stopping in!! Sorry to hear about the need for a transfusion! But, keep the chin up and the platlet count will go up too!! take care Tracey Rush. p.s.enjoy the lobster.
[477] It's fall here in Dallas, too. It's a little chilly for swimming but nothing could be better than sitting out by the pool, drinking beer, watching the butterflies flutter around. You need to come back for a visit soon. I need somebody to drink all that beer. (((((((+))))))) love you. -tommy
[476] Hey, Pam! May I vote for the Big Pooh/ Little Pooh? That would make a great photo for the album. Good luck with your levels, and have a safe trip up to PA. lolta- Marcia G
[475] 10/15/01 Come on platelets stay level or better yet go up to a safer level!!I think you would make a great witch for Halloween!!Not true - you have a great attitude, especially with all you have been through. Lobster night huh. If you go to Pa. enjoy. Love and prayers Joan
[474] Hey, Pammy! We're looking forward to seeing you next week! The boys are planning a round with their "golfing buddy!" I'm looking for costume ideas as well so I hope you get some good suggestions on the web site. Any special meal requests for when you get down here? Love, Tammy
[473] No, Pam, that was just a fluke that I hit 6000 - it was a one shot! Had you not taught me how to "refresh" on the computer, I would have still been way back there at 900 and something!! Now get those platelets back up again and you will be on your way to recovery. Hope we will see you when we go South for a couple weeks - Massanutten, Swannanoa, or New Bern - Nov 3 - 17. Love, Janie
[472] Pam - David votes for Aunt Pam to be dressed as a big Pooh for Halloween. And he wants us to take back the skeleton suit we already bought, so he can be a little Pooh. I think the Disney store carries both sizes! Love, Kat
[471] Pam, Mom sent you an e-mail so I decided to send you a note.Hope you're feeling better . You're in our prayers every night. Watch out for those irons! Love Casey Talley.
[470] Pam,
Greetings from OBX. I pray that your platelet count increases. McDonalds is "fat good", but it certainly is not lobster! 7 of us will be fishing on Thursday. My son, Chris and Dick Haas are among those who will be searching for any lobsters on the bottom of the NC shoreline. All that we catch will be UPSed to you!!!! Take good care and I will see you in November. Peace, Pastor Bill P.S. Let me know when you break 100.....
[469] Pam, I'm glad you're feeling better! You're amazing! I wanted to let you know I'm at the "other" hospital now. My first day was today. I'm in the ED. If you need anything please call me either at work or at home. My thoughts and prayers are with you every day. Lois
[468] Pam, Glad to hear that you are feeling better! We have been on daily checking your journal updates. How is the Teddy Bear? She likes lobster too, so you need to take her with you on your trip. Hang in there and keep killing those cancer cells! Sending lots of positive thoughts your way, Elaine & Rich Bernstein
[467] Pam, it sounds like we just missed you on our visit to Tim and Tammy's. We are on our way to the mountains for a little time off. Just to update you, I have two kids, Trevor, age 3, and Jeanna, 6 months. Both are fair, blue eyed, with full heads of hair. My wife swears they're mine. We also recently moved from coastal Mississippi to New Smyrna Beach, Florida, just 30 minutes from where I grew up, a move facilitatied by the recent radiologist glut turned to shortage. I hate that you have to go through all of this, but I know you can handle it. Love, Troy 10-15-01
[466] 10/14/01 Hi Pam:Shot 102 today as well as last Friday. Hate to tell you but we beat Glenmore in a team match on Friday by a score of 10-2. We needed 9 points to win the Jefferson league. Needless to say we are pretty proud of ourselves. Go red blood cells and platelets!!!!Love and prayers Joan
[465] Dear Pam, Keep them counts a climbin'. I won't be able to check on you daily for a bit, as we head across the big pond tomorrow. I want nothing but good news when I get back on the 1st. I'll keep praying for you. In return, you can pray that we get to Germany and back safely. Deal? Love, Mernie 10/14/01
[464] Yeh, I was the 6000the to log on!! You have quite a support team, Pam. Thanks for explaining to me and the other non medical types what all these counts mean. You sound like you are doing quite well - the white counts are a heck of a lot higher than when you were here. Keep it up and may they continue to climb for your next check. We pray that you have killed all those cancer cells and it is all behind you now. You might have to go back to work sooner than you thought!! Love you, Janie
[463] Hey Dr. Pam, I'm off for another fun and eventful evening in OUR ER. You just don't know the fun you are missing. We miss you! Keeping positivie thoughts and prayers in our hearts for you. Hang in there. Love, Missy
[462] Naps? Wow - Dave and I are envious. We barely get a whole night's sleep, so we'd really like to empathize with you on all the sleeping you're doing. Alas, it's not likely, so you keeping zzzzz-ing and bring those counts up. Sean's soccer has kept us busy. Last weekend was a tournament (5 of us in a hotel room was too cozy!). I was in Orlando this week. Lots of GI Joe's in the airports keeping us all safe. Dave took care of the kids and told me I had job security (back home). We've been keeping an eye on your purging and healing where ever we've been. Thanks for the blood lesson (helps us lay-folks). XOXOX, Ronni Dave and the boys.
[461] Hey Pam. I hope you are feeling better by the time you get this, but- did you try lollypops? To get rid of that "yucky" taste? Or maybe a very fruity wine. Thinking of you always- Take care- lolta-Marcia G
[460] 10/13/01 Hi Pam: Glad to see you were feeling badly yesterday because that is a sure sign you are getting better!!!!!Spent the afternoon at the Octoberfest. Next year you will be with us. Dee came in this morning and will leave tomorrow. Golf on tap for tomorrow if it doesn't rain. After dinner tonight we are carving pumpkins. Take care. Love and prayers Joan
[459] To my little angel from you know where. Just wanted you to know that I continue to think about you and remember you in my prayers. Sending lots of love, luck and laughter. Get better soon or I will come and take care of you myself and you know that you don't want that to happen. God Bless and take care! Sam
[458] Pam. Know you are feeling lousy . You are allowed to go to bed and turn off your phones. But what's this about platelet counts? That is different from the white cell counts. Fill us in, the non medical friends, family , etc. about what that means. !5,000 sounds like an awfully big number, but apparently not high enough. Love you, Janie
[457] 10/12/01 Hi Pam: Saw "Mom" at snack bar and she brought me up to date. Keep hanging in there!!!Love and prayers Joan
[456] Dr. Pam: We're following you up this mountain of healing and recovery; afraid to get in your way, for your spirits are so genuinely high. Prayers and blessings. Frank/Joan Sola 10/11/01
[455] Pam, keep up the fight and the humor! I'm glad to learn that things are improving for you. By the way, I'm sure that your golf game on a "bad day" is still better than mine on my best day. Just another thing for which you may be thankful! Brenda Gacki
[454] Pam: Happy "hump" day. I'm glad your Mom tidied your drawers. Safe trip home Margie. See you next time. Love and prayers. Joan 10/10/01
[453] Hey Dr. Pam, I still thing you should vision all the cancer cells being purged when the n/v hits. Hang in there, you have made it through three treatments, this one my be the worst you have encountered. Positive thoughts and many prayers are coming to you. Love, Missy
[452] Sounds to me like something Joan would say!!!! Hope to see you this week. I'm coming back to the Lake tomorrow for 5-6 days for last half of root canal, furniture shopping, and more checking on my house. Hang in there -- you really pushed through to get in all 5 days of the chemo. Let me know when you are ready and we'll bring the Margaritas over. Dee may be coming down this weekend and she's the Margarita expert -- she wants me to install a margarita machine in my new kitchen! Hope to see you soon -- thinking about and praying for you, marilyn
[451] Pam: I have been so wrongfully accused!!!Would I dare say that Barb is nicer than you? Hang in there. Love and prayers. Joan
[450] Hey Pam, Nancy here - in the ER working a long night and thinking of how you are. You are in my thoughts often and send love for your healing. Let me know next time you are in the hospital and I'll come up and make beep sounds at no extra charge. We just were cleared to use the computer again and mine at home is on the blink so I am so excited to talk to you this way. Thank God for your mom and friends. You sound well taken care of...hugs and kisses...and thoughts of Down Under and future vacations. Love, Nancy
[449] Pam, So glad to hear that you are home, and that you ate some of the pasta. Let us know when you need more-there is an endless supply of those rice and pasta bowls, as well as Rich's famous Magaritas when you are ready for them. Also, we hope the Teddy Bear is getting along well with Squeaky and that little pony who "looks like Alf." Say hi to your Mom for us. Hang in there and keep killing those cancer-cells. Elaine & Rich Bernstein
[448] Hi Pam: It was great to talk to you tonight. I could have told you your Mom is a trooper!!! Will talk to you or your Mom tomorrow. PS Sure enjoyed meeting Barb last week. What a nice person. It's a shame you can't be more like her!!!!!
[447] Hi Pamela! Keep up the good work! You are going to beat this!!!!! Hang in there. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Fish
[446] Hi! Hang in there.!!! Remember that there is marinated lamb waiting for you one of these days soon. Sorry that things have not gone well for you this week but at least its over for now. See you soon. Don't forget if you need a buddy I'm around and I promise to make the right turns this time. Love, Barbara and Dick
[445] Man, those white cell precursors must have been really well fortified by all the lobster and white wine! I am so impressed by their ability to withstand 5 whole days of chemo! You go, Girl! I bet the next set of scans will get the "All clear" call. Be sure you get a big fluid bolus and lots of anti-nausea drugs before you head home tomorrow. Love, Tammy.
[444] Hi, Pam. Hang in there; you're almost through! We're sending good thoughts, and lots of prayers. lolta- Marcia G
[443] Pam, Am sending you good thoughts and lots of strength this week. Hope the chemo is doing it's good work. It had better if it's going to make you feel like this! My fridge is still stocked with beer, wine, water, juice, milk,... whatever. I'm looking forward to the day you ring my doorbell and say"I came by for that beer.." and it'll be like all this never happened. Lots of love, Arlene B.
[442] Hi Pam. So glad I got to visit you yesterday so you'd know I'm really thinking of you. We had a riot of a time tonight at the PUB with your Mom and Barb --we did miss you very much but you'll be there with us the next time. That's if they ever let us in there again -- and you know this is all going to be blamed on the new kids on the block -- my Mom and me. Have Barb or your Mom tell you Joan's jokes. And, the whole Pub knows about Joan's toilet and my teeth. See you soon. I'll be back in town next week. Love, Marilyn
[441] 10/4/01 Hi Pam: We had a great time at dinner tonight. Your Mom and Barb seem to enjoy it too. We laughed and laughed. Missed you like crazy but you'll be with us next time. Take care. Talk to you Sunday. Love and prayers Joan
[440] You go girl!! Hang tough. Sway. Do what ever it takes, just know that we're thinkin' of you. Let our strength be yours. We're scratching ourselves for you- right now. And just the other nite I barfed. We're doing all we can, so you can kick some cancer-cell butt!!!! Lots of Love, Ronni, Dave, Sean, Jason and Matthew
[439] Hey, Pam. Chinese food & Freecell- sounds good to me! I hope Barb arrived safely. Take care & get lots of rest- remember- let everyone wait on you! As always- in our thoughts & prayers- lolta- Marcia G
[438] Pam, have finally succeeded in getting your web page. Glad to see that you look great, I know you will be happy to get done with all these treatments. It would be better if their nasty stuff tasted like wine and lobster. Maybe that will be the next discovery. You have been on our prayer list for ages. I envy your golf abilities. Take care. Vivian Kendrick
[437] Hey Dr. Pam, I hope the chinese food was good today. I made sure everyone knew that if we ordered out we were to phone you in your lovely room 713 to confirm your order. Sorry to hear about the n/v last night. Did mom get in safely? Will chemo be over on Friday or Saturday? Hang in there my friend. Thoughts and prayers for you this week. Die cancer cells die. Love, Missy
[436] Enjoy your Chinese food! I hope you are able to keep it down. I heard that white blood cells like kung pao chicken, and that melanoma cells don't. I don't know where the MSG fits into the equation, though. - Kat
[435] Hey, I was afraid to call, thought I'd probably wake you, but I thought you'd like to know that the boys remain undefeated after tonight's soccer game. Hang tough, Darlin'. I'll talk to you soon. Love, Tammy.
[434] Dear Pam, Just stopped playing free cell long enough to check in on you. I lost a 17 game winning streak. Golf was so-so today. Played with a gal that just started playing this summer. We were tied after 7 holes :( ,but she blew the 8th and I beat her by 5. We only played 9. Going to the Farm tomorrow for a few days, so I won't be checking on you. Keep up the good fight and we will keep the prayers coming your way. Love you, Mernie
[433] Hi Pammy,
Sorry I haven't sent you a note for a few weeks but that doesn't meen that I haven't thought of you. Good luck with Round 4. (Saying it that way reminds me of a boxer, but then this is a fight) Hope you feel better than in the past with this round and that it does the job well enough that you'll be clear after this and can concentrate on your golf to break 100. Good Luck and prayers!
Marty S.
[432] Hi, Pam! The photo of you & Barb is great! You look like you're having lots of fun! Special thoughts & prayers to you this week. Take it easy. lolta-Marcia G
[431] Hi Pam! It was great to see you in church yesterday.Dick said he missed you but sends a big hug and kiss. Good luck with this week's fun !!!!!!We'll see you soon. Going away on the 16th but hope to see you before then. Going to the Outer Banks for a few days. Love, Barbara and Dick
[430] Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Your courage and determination will win you this fight.. Barb and Russ Godfrey 10/01/01
[429] Hi Pam - I finally got the Nascar picture of you and Barb scanned and put it up on the website. I also got developed two rolls of pictures that David took on the camera you bought him. He is getting a little bit better at photography - we now have a few fairly clear shots of sidewalk stains, a matchbox car, a McDonald's toy, and the garden hose, to go with the previous blurred shots of the back of Bob's head which David took from his carseat. There are two suprisingly good shots that he took of me, though, which I may actually send you. Andrew looked extremely cute in his new bear shirt & brown sweat pants today. Thanks for the great gifts. I bought David some new clothes last week, so the boys looked very spiffy for church today. Love, hugs & prayers, Kat, Bob, David & Andrew.
[428] Hi Pam,
Great news - the white wine and lobsters worked! You might have to come back for more if you can't tolerated the chemo yet! I'm still finding long brown hairs in the bathroom - but I haven't cleaned since you left though. Note to all - Pam looks wondeful and she still had plenty of hair when she was here. Getting a litle thin on the top like Mernie - but that runs in some of the family!! I like that 103 at golf - wish I could do that again some time. Love, Janie
[427] Dear Pam, Just wanted to say Hello. And let you know that I'm praying for you every day! Linda Graves. Please e-mail me if you feel like it @ Shangrilagardens@aol.com Lov Ya Kido
[426] Dear Dr. Pam: Just read your Journal of 9/27. Sounds like you have a wonderfully supportive family, especially so during these days. We're praying for God's love to be translated to higher counts. Blessings, Frank/Joan Sola
[425] For some reason, after reading the last few entries in your journel, I have a taste for lobster and white wine. It's good to hear you sounding like you're having fun. If you'd just stay off the golf course....ever consider bowling??
It's a Harley Davidson week end here in York. I can hear them roaring by our office. Some of the people who went out a lunch time said they've never seen so many motorcycles. It is perfect weather today for riding, but I guess the traffic is a mess. Lucky me, I get to go past the fair grounds on my way home.
I'll look for you around the lake this weekend. Love, Connie
[424] Hey Pam, I have missed checking your site but I have been getting reports on you. I hear that you look great!. We are also watching the neutrophil counts... I hear more about blood counts than I ever wanted to hear. Ellis' doctor (John Densmore) met you at some MJ function. His wife is at MJ... After 42 days in hospital and a gut hitting chemo..Ellis is back home. You two need to continue to keep spirits up.. while you wait for counts to allow another hit of chemo. I will be thinking of you as you watch the lab reports and hoping that you are soon up for the next "hit". Love to you...Troxie
[423] I'm exhausted just reading about all the miles you've driven in the past week. Stay safe. I hope the counts are great, but if not, come on back down. I can provide white food and beverages to tweak that white count here as well! Tammy
[422] Well the loop is almost complete. You'll be home tomorrow. There was a good reason your count was low, so you couild take a well-deserved trip and spend time visiting, eating, drinking, and relaxing (except for the golf). Thanks for your wishes. I'm beyond nervous. Anxious, yes. I think G-d purposefully has us forget the actual sensation of pain or we'd never have more than one baby, visit the dentist, etc. No biggee. I'll focus on you and hope for lots of little white guys multiplying like rabbits! Love, Ronni
[421] Checking on you, kid. Sounds like you're doing well so far. Keep up the good work! Carolyn & Mint K I can't encourage you about golf--that is a hopeless enterprise.
[420] Pam,
Your strength is amazing. I know God is very proud of you and the courage you are taking with you on your journey. Keep your chin up and we will be cheering on those white cells to start racing around in your veins!
Tina Sheedy
[419] white wine? Have you checked the literature on that..... Big hugs. Katie
[418] Dear Pam, Please don't hold me responsible if my white wine theory does not work. Just thought it was worth trying (especially since I knew you were headed for Janie's). See you tomorrow morning at Emily's. Love ya, Mernie
[417] Well it's just not the same without Pam here! Now I'm sure you'll find this hard to believe, but even w the five of us (3 boys, for those who don't know us)- it's kinda quiet around here. We had a great time w you, Pam and miss you tons! Glad to know you arrived safely at your next destination (even though you didn't call to let us know... (nag nag nag). This website is very convenient to check up (oh I mean check in) on you, Pam. Love ya, Ronni Dave and the Boys.
[416] Hi, Pam. Thanks for thinking of me. But that's okay- I thought about you while Charlie & I were eating crab legs at the Corner Stable tonight. (Ask Barb) Take care- enjoy your trip- and have a safe journey home! Marcia G
[415] Hi, Pam! I finally figured it out! Since chemo is on hold for now, you're trying to lose those bad c-cells on the road, or wearing them out traveling! Glad to hear that you are having such a good time, seeing so many lucky friends. And can you at least THINK about me when you're eating that lobster??? Thanx! lolta- Marcia G
[414] Hi Pam- I had heard what was happening, and then met the Colvilles at a party Friday night and they told me about your website. Of course, we volunteered to participate in the Wine Cure study and were taking extra doses Friday night. It sounds like things are going as well as/better than? expected and especially nice that you may be able to continue things at UVa, although Pittsburgh is one helluva city. Especially Shadyside (although I can't vouch for the hospital food). There is a great little Italian place there called Pasta Piatti, buono, buono. Thinking of you and hoping all continues to go well. Kudos on the website- what a great way to share the experience with others and educate us all too.

[413] Hello Pam (and everyone). Pam is a great guest, her appetite must be back - she's eating my cooking! It's great having her at the soccer games (Sean and Dave) she can cheer like the dickens becuz no one knows her. Moms/Wives can not get aways w that. We are sooooo very glad you made the trip up here. We know the ride was long, but like us I'm sure all the "pit stops" are glad to have your company. Unfortunately we don't have white wine, but Pam is having beer, which is a close kin to the color of white wine. And I think the yeast will help the white count. Love ya, Ronni (Dave and the Kids)
[412] Dear Pam, Is there any chance that you were drinking RED wine down at Tammy's and your WHITE blood cells absorbed the color? Just a thought. (Or it could be all that juicy tenderloin blood). Have a good road trip. Love, Mernie
[411] Good Afternoon Pam, Sounds like you need another meaty Happy Meal to kick start that bone marrow of yours. You'll have to make McDonalds a meal stop on your trip north.
Sonia had the same problem with her final chemo treatment. They postponed it a week. She had the blood drawn again & everything was a "GO" so she is having the last treatment today. Boy is she a happy camper.
Have a good trip. Maybe we'll catch you while you're at the Lake. Marty will be out golfing, so watch for him on the course. Love, Connie S.
[410] Hi Pam Checking in to see how you're doing! Sounds like you're enjoying some time off from that nasty chemo. Hopefully some R & R will get your bone marrow back into shape. Glad to hear you're driving these days and not flying - a scary thought!
How about some updated pictures for your photo album? I keep checking for something new. When you get that new red wig you'll have to post a photo! Keep up the good fight! Love Tracey
[409] Thinking of you, have a great weekend. Declan sits! He is not interested in the floor any longer..... he wants to see all around him. Aidan got to see Thomas the tank engine at strasburg yesterday. I think it will be hard to top that one. Love you katie
[408] Phew! I think that we got the Nimda worm (computer virus) cleaned off of the web servers and Pam's website, and by this entry, I'm checking if the guestbook works. Everyone who used the Internet yesterday or today should update their virus scan program and run a system check on their home computers to get rid of this virus, as it is a nasty one and was spread all over the world through multiple means. Emails without visible attachments and even visits to infected webpages could have infected your computers! -Karen
[407] Hello Pam: I had planned on attending the reception but had services that night so I had to bow out. Sorry I missed you. Glad to see that your out and about and holding your own. Sounds like you have some wonderfull friends. What a blessing they are. Home Schooling at the house has started up again so it is time to get out the whip and charm these little ones. You remain in my thoughts and my prayers. Will
[406] Hi Pam! Pat said you looked great at the Medical Staff Reception, even with all those scallops stuck in your mouth!! They do sound delicious. I think I will have to go undercover one year as a new doc. Do you think they'd notice??
After all that has happened this week, so many things seem so trivial. I am just happy that my boys are safe (one a pilot for United and the other a helicopter pilot stationed in Norfolk). I think about you often and hope to see you again very soon. Perhaps another Happy Hour! Take care and God bless America! Carol Hannum
[405] Hello, Darlin', Just wanted to let you know that the wine is in the rack and the tenderloin is in the fridge and I went out and hacked up the golf course this morning in anticipation of your arrival. Drive carefully! Love ya, Tammy.
[404] Hi, Pam! -and Barb, too! We're back from vacation- I did keep an eye on the website, thanks to sister-in-law Darlene! If half the number of people who questioned me about the ribbon really DO log on, you'll be swamped. The Gordon comment- everybody KNOWS that he's a w-w-w, so no further comment seemed necessary. Dawn said she didn't see you at the race- sorry. But she did enjoy seeing #24 wreck right in front of them. We're glad to hear you in good spirits. Stay that way, and, as always, our thoughts & prayers are with you. Marcia G
[403] Pam:
Have a safe trip. The members of G&G will look forward to seeing you when you return. Prayers continue.
Pax, Pastor Bill
[402] Hey Pam, I can't believe no-one commented on your Jeff Gordon (the wimp, whiner, weeney) dig. That leads me to believe that everyone else roots for anyone but him!! Have a safe trip to Tammy's, and PLEASE take lots of breaks and drink lots of fluid (That way, you will have to stop to pee more often and rest). Talk to you later, Barb
[401] Dear Pam, Life is so uncertain. Our prayers have to be spread a little thinner today, but you are still on the top of my list. Golf was good yesterday but lousy today, so even that is uncertain! Melissa's trip to the Netherlands Sunday is uncertain. Have a good time at Tammy's - if you survived the MJH shindig today. All that bacon grease might make the bad cells slip, fall & kill themselves (but don't count on it). God Bless America. Love, Mernie
