[1100]  Blame the Webmaster! Argh! I skip ONE night of checking in, and LOOK at what happens! After driving all night to get to Gloucester, I was wiped out. I slept about an hour and then went shopping for food, etc., and napped again. After dinner, I crashed without checking the web site. I finally decided to check my work emails, and find out I'm in trouble. Oh, well... I hope you enjoy it here as much as I am. Janie & Fred are taking good care of us. Once you arrive, I can make sure you get your entries in on a timely basis. :) Love, Kat

6/17 - 3:25 PM. Pam - you are allowed a day off once in awhile. We forgive you! HAPPY MONDAY! - Chris

6/15/02 Hi Pam: Wasn't the tournament yesterday a blast? You and your Mom looked so cute in your "flag day" outfits. Hope your trip home was a safe one and tell your Dad Happy Father's day for me. Love and prayers. Joan.

IF YOU'RE PLAYING 18 HOLES AND BEATING YOUR OLD MAN YOU OBVIOUSLY ARE DOING WELL. HAPPY BIRTHDAY - KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK. HOPE TO SEE YOU SOMETIME AT THE LAKE.--C & M KUNKEL

The nurses have a new manager now who seems like she is going to be great!! the hospital just purchased land to build a new hospital in the next couple of years so things are looking up a little!! Of course you can make it to 42!!! Barb and Russ Godfrey

6/14 Dear Pam, Janie & I made it to my house safely Wed. and played 18 holes at Fairways of Halfmoon Thurs. before she left. I threw my Waldo shirt in the washer and it didn't run, so I am all set for the next round! See you in Gloucester on Wed. Love, Mernie

Pam Hi! I'm happy you had such a wonderful BIRTHDAY dinner. Did I get the love for chocolate cake with peanut butter icing fom you or you from me? Tell Beantown Drew that I can read. Thanks Jim

Pam, Well you left the heat behind and it was replaced with rain. Marty's cousin Chris is down for this weekend's member guest at the club. Dispite the weather, they managed to beat Jakeway and his partner on this optional practice day. They are hoping for better weather for the rest of the weekend. Marty says the Scholand's are not mudders. I went to visit my Dad in Chicago last weekend. He's really doing quite well. Marty sold Dad's house when he was there with me. What a salesman!!! He got a good price for it too...cash. That's one less thing we have to worry about. Happy belated Birthday! Sounds like it was a delicious one. Chocolate and PB is one of my favorites too. Type at you later. Love C&M

Glad to hear that it is too hot for golf in PA. It is too hot for golf here in VA and Bob says we've moved to a place where it is too hot to play golf. Can't imagine what July and Aug. will be like. Lv, Susan

I think you need a team photo in your web site photo album. If there is a prize for best-dressed, your team ought to have a lock on it. Here's a sad golf story of the day..........my nine-year-old beat me by four strokes yesterday. Tammy

6/11 - Hi Pam - HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY (that's one HAPPY for each decade!). Here's praying for MANY MANY MANY MORE! Hope you didn't pass out in the heat today, and take care. Chris

Pam - Nice speaking with you tonight and hearing that you're doing well. Tell Fish that's there's only one Beantown Drew. Love always, B-T Drew.

Pam -- thanks for sharing your birthday cake and ice cream with Ralph. I enjoyed the conversation and wine. Our walk to the marina was fine. We hope you enjoy your golf tournament tomorrow. Remember we want to see pictures of the group. Happy putting. Ralph & Ann

On your birthday we want to remind you that we admire your courage, and we send you our love. Demi and Paul May.

6/10/02 Pam: Happy belated 41st birthday!!!I have a Christmas present for you (to replace the bird feeder that I am using). It can be a b'day present too. It will help you and your Mom win in our member guest tournament on Friday.Of course you have to beat Linda Perkins (my guest from Greene Hills) and me first.I leave tomorrow and return on Thursday. Safe trip to you and your Mom. Love and prayers Joan G.

6/10. Happy BD! See ya in LESS THAN two weeks! -- T in D.

Happy Belated Birthday. My computer was out of commission for a few days. Glad you are doing well. Enjoy PA. Chris M's Mom

Happy 41st Birthday Dr. Pam! Counting the days until school is over - 4 more days!!!! Exams tomorrow. GTG. See you in July. Love, Krista and Megan

Here's to 41 and many more years to come! Sounds like you had a terrific birthday meal. Evie Miller

6/9 Hi Pam, I'm heading out of here tomorrow (that's Gloucester, MA for those who don't know us) for Mernie's and then to Lake Meade on Monday - your birthday. See you then. I've got a bum knee, but we are going to have a good time anyway at the Member/Guest on Tuesday. Sorry I missed your call today. The following week I play at Bass Rock in their M/G on Tues.and then our Member/Guest on Thursday and then the big reunion with scads of relatives pouring in. Sure wish this knee would heal. Can't stand being a cripple - but then look at you. I can't complain. No, I won't complain. See you Monday. Happy Birthday! Love, Janie

Pam Congratulations! You have done a very good job. I can't wait to see you with Beantown Drew. Let me know. What other Drew do you know? Jim

Hi Pammy. Your golf is getting so good, you won't have any trouble beating me, but we'll be on a team, not competitors. Joan - you can beat me, even if you can't beat Pam, but I intend to make you work at it. See you tomorrow, Pam. I am not playing the Old Pal match this week, so I can come down earlier tomorrow than anticipated. Love you, Mom

pam it is so good to hear that you are out and about.. i am encouraged by your attitude and stick-toitive-ness.... you are a fighter... love barb thimgan.

Dear Pam, See you Monday, with a great big birthday hug. I'll be another year older by then, too. Kids are all coming this weekend to help me celebrate. Hope to play golf on D Day. Love, Mernie

Hi Pam, Congratulations on your 1st year anniversary of "kicking butt". Katie S.

6/4/02 Hi Pam: I am so excited about seeing your Mom and the group of us going to dinner. What's the dress? Maybe I will get to talk to you at golf although we are going off at different times. Bet I beat you!!! Love and prayers. Joan G.

Congratulations, my dear. 41 never looked so awesome, huh? The "Odds" are getting their butts kicked. (Wanna buy a lottery ticket for me?) I suspect the "100-barrier" on the golf course doesn't stand a chance either. See ya soon! love, tom

Hi Pam, I was typing you a note and accidentally hit the "Alt" key while I was typing, and my message disappeared. Well, here goes again.

I just wanted to remind you we've got the hot tub if you want to use it. It's on a timer, so it's ready everyday around 7 PM. We won't be here, but you're welcome to use it. Carl can get you in. Sorry we won't be home to see you this visit.

The lake still isn't full, but there is enough water for us to put the tuner in. Must be we're getting old. We seem to use that boat a bunch more than the speed boat. Love, Connie & Marty

Pam - Congratulations on your one-year anniversary. You're always in my thoughts. I hope to be able to coordinate with Fish a trip down your way later this summer. If you're up North for one of your Lobster trips, give me a call.  Love, Beantown Drew.

Congrats on the new floors and the choir position! I wish I could sing. I was a "lip-syncing" alto in choir for several years! Vivian B.

Pam, You're an easy guest and actually you're family so you have our vote to stay in #3's room as long as you need it!! (just be sure to do the sheets! by July!). Not good for anyone to breath those fumes - we stayed out of our house when one room was done - it smelled throughout the whole house!! But well worth it! You'll love 'em when they're done. See you soon... Ronni and Dave

5/30: Can't have a day pass without a comment. I'm looking forward to my night shift tonight...chuckle. Sorry your place is trashed and stinky. Thanks, Lou and Al for taking homeless Pam in. love, Julia

Better the Colvilles get sick of you than you get sick, period!! Barb Godfrey - 5/29/02

5/29/02 Hi Pam: OK so you beat me!! I had a 120 but I don't think that was too bad since it was the first time I played golf!!! Missed you last night. The roast beef was delicious.

Love and Prayers- Joan G

Sorry I haven't written lately. I read every day if I'm in town. Between winding down the school year (field days, class parties, field trips, awards day, etc.), starting baseball playoffs, and nursing Tyler through a bout of strep throat, days have been quite full around here. School ends Wed., we head for the beach Thurs., come back Fri. evening for baseball, then back down for the weekend. I'm looking forward to sand between my toes and a bloody mary in my hand. About those floors....You'll be thrilled with the results, but oooohh, the process. Be prepared for dust EVERYWHERE, no matter how much plastic you put up. Good luck! Tammy

Dear Pam, Church Choir? Brings back memories. I joined one in college - because they didn't pass the plate up in the choir loft. (They put a plate down in the choir room, but I never used it!) I had to sing soprano because that's where the melody is. I can't read music. Oh well. Good for you. Love, Mernie

5/26/02 Pam: I thought I heard a strange noise around 11:00 am this morning. How I know it was you "singing". I shot a 103 on Friday so there!! Don't forset dinner at the pub on Tuesday - prime rib night. Love and prayers - Joan G.

I thought of you today - I even looked for an Armadillo Trivet. We took Bob's grandson, daughter and son-in-law to the Fort Worth Stockyards. I hadn't been since you and Marianne were here. It wasn't nearly as hot. Weren't quite as many bovines along the street either -- Bob and I were enough -- butt I won't bring up the whole Heywood issue. (Was that a typo?) love, Tom

5/25 Hi Pam, Yesterday when I played golf, I was five strokes less than Tuesday. Did a half hour of practicing in the yard last evening, plan to practice at the range this morning before going out to play with the ladies choose-ups. Wish me luck. I want to knock 10 strokes off yesterday's results. Way to go, Janie! Hope you get to break 100. You can carry our team on 6/11. Love you lots, Mom

Pam...Saw today's entry, but no mention of the beer. What's going on here?! Enjoyed seeing you at the Faulconer. You're doing great! Love from both of us. Jennie & Steve Blickstein

Friday- 5/24 - Even though it was too cool to swim, we still had a great trip. Watched a beautiful sunrise Wednesday morning at Nags Head. Awesome! Loved the Elizabethan Gardens. Glad you are doing well. Chris M's Mom

5/24 Pam, I am working on getting you a partner to play in our member/guest. here on June 20th. Since you will be here anyway and there are members who need a partner I should be able to fix you up. Should be a good day. Responses are already coming in for the reunion - Kat being #1. See you soon. Still trying to break 100 - came close yesterday, but missed it by 4!! Love, Janie

Hello Pam! Haven't written in a while. Sounds like you're keeping yourself out of trouble. Things here are fairly status quo - hit the big 40 this week and it did feel different - either hormonal or CT had another earthquake. Glad to see you're improving on golf. I haven't played is forever so if you'd like an ego boost maybe we can hit 9 when you come up in June. Looking forward to the visit! Love ya, Ronni

After I posted my note I saw the previous note about the slide show. Those pictures are GREAT! What a cool idea to put a slide show on the photo album! You guys look like you really got to enjoy yourselves. Glad you posted them. Evie Miller

Hey Pam, what a cool idea about the choir! I have had more fun with church choirs! They are usually an AWESOME group. Enjoy.... Evie Miller

Hi Pam, I'm sorry, we forgot to comment on your slide show. That one picture on the beach was so good it could have been a post card. Loved the show. As for the singing, I would have to hear a tape to pass judgement. (Is that for me to do????) You couldn't be any worse that the person behind me in church last Sunday. Of course, he's probably saying the same thing about the person in front of him. Love, Connie

Hi Pam, I'm impressed that you have joined the church choir. Never knew you could sing - and I've known you longer than anyone else in this world. Guess who.

P.S. Loved the slide show! You look great! Tracey

Hi Pam, I'm also guilty of checking in on your progress but not putting an entry in the guest book. Sorry! Sounds like you're doing well - I'm glad the PET scan results were so good! As for me, I spent the entire weekend - yes, the entire weekend - at a coding workshop in Baltimore. My brain is numb!! All those stupid PE bullet points and Review of Systems requirements - I think I'll be spending more time determining visit codes than doing patient care. I'm sure that's one part of medicine that you don't miss at all! Oh well! I wonder if I can collect SSI? Have a great week - I'll try to be better at checking in. Tracey

Hi Pam, I saw Maria K. in the store and asked about you. She gave me your web address and here you are. I've only read your May journal entries, but it sounds like your doing o.k. I'll check in again with you soon. Take care and enjoy your s.s. Katie Cabrera

Hey, I'm still checking in on how you're doing. Boring days are good days. Love, Nina

So, when are you getting your floor done? Can we assume that afterwards the "Lemoyne Manglers" are no longer welcome? Or will the guy actually use something that protects the finish a bit better? Bob & I were up until 2:30 this morning working on getting a transaction negotiated and signed up -- how did we stay out all night in college? I feel like I was hit by a truck, but managed to get David to school by 8:00. I'd go back to bed, but Andy is up. Love, Kat

5/21 Hi Pam - Happy Tuesday. Its cold and chilly here in PA - can you send us some of the warm Outer Banks weather you had? I haven't seen Snow Dogs yet, but caught Star Wars over the weekend. I was disappointed in it, but then, as a Star Wars "nerd", its difficult to compare everything to the original. Still, the effects were excellent, so I would recommend it. Have a great day and take care. - Chris

So happy to hear the good news about the SS. We were in PA this weekend and our grandsons watched "Snow Dogs", too. See you in church next Sun. Carol B.

5/20 Pam, we read your journal everyday and I can understand your disappointment when there are no entries in your guest book. I am guilty too. What can we say? So happy you have fought the good fight and with your next scan you will have beaten it. So looking forward to the reunion here in Gloucester on June 23rd. Love, Janie

Hi Pam, You didn't say if Snow Dogs was a good movie. Don't tell us the ending, because we haven't watched it yet. Vodka (the snow dog) got it for Marty for his birthday. Next time you're at LM for a visit, don't forget we've got a hot tub. You're welcome to use it, even if we're not here. It's downstairs...not far from the wine cellar!!! Love, Connie & Marty

Dear Pam, Boring can be good. Certainly better than bad news. We like good news - like your SS results. It would take months to hear anything in NY. Enjoyed your slide show. Thanks. Love, Mernie (5/20). PS We drove thru SNOW to get to Emily's graduation Saturday.

Congrats! My tax dollars at work! Spend them wisely. Love, Tammy

May 17 GREAT photos of Australia. Did you go there for the Maoris, crocs (why a croc "farm"), or golf? Have a great week! Love, Viv and Joe0...........

Friday-May 17-Happy to hear you had good news with your scans. Will keep praying you can drive soon. Enjoyed seeing your pictures. What a wonderful trip. Thanks for the weather reports from Outer Banks - my husband and I are leaving for there tomorrow. Have a good weekend. Chris M's Mom

Hi, Pam! Totally forgot about your Outer Banks trip. Hope you're having fun. If you are back, please come to Rebecca's First Holy Communion on Saturday. My mother said she will drive you here and back at any time, so you can stay as long (or short!) as you want. The Mass is at 11:00 and we will likely be back home to serve food around 2:00. Just call me or my mother (510-0273) if you can come! Love, Lynn

We like to read your Journal Entries, Pam, please keep them up. We think that Somebody Up There likes you. In your corner, Demi and Paul May.

5/15 - Hi Pam - loved the pictures...Those of the Twelve Apostles (I gotta see that someday) and of the Hawaii sunset are incredible...I think you were wasting your talents in the ER! Enjoy the relaxation, and the hot tub. Take Care - Chris

The slide show is great! Good job, Kat! Have a good time in the Outer Banks, Pam; Barb, have fun in Vegas! I'll be thinking of you both while I'm in The 'Burgh. lolta Marcia G

Great pix!! I take it you didn't see any MOOSES down under? It looks like you saw everything else though (SHEEP!). Really cool. Your fuzzy headshots not withstanding, my favorite is of a snorkling Aunt Margie. love, tom

Hi Pam, Just finished looking at the lovely photos. I have really enjoyed your trip and I was so glad you got to go. I know you all enjoyed it. Nice of you to let us "travel" with you. Stay well. Vivian Kendrick.

Pam - The pictures from your trip are great. Thanks for sharing. Enjoy your current trip. We just returned from a week in southern California. I got to go to business meetings and Ralph got to golf and spend time in a sailplane. (Actually I had time for one round of golf and a ride in the sailplane). Glad to hear about the PET scan results. Ralph & Ann

Pam, Molly wants to know how you got on with Social Security. Looked thru your journal for further references but couldn't find any. Cheers, Tony

Hey, while checking on you, I became 17000! Very exciting! Hope you had a good trip to the Outer Banks! How did you get there? I'll send you a post card from Las Vegas. Love, Barb

5/14 Hello Pam - YAAAHOO! Great news on the PET scans - I am really really happy for you! That is wonderful news. I am glad that your major concern, or at least it seems so from your journal, is your golf game - let's keep it that way! Take Care, and enjoy the OBX - Chris

Yea Pam, I am so happy about your PET scan reaults! Continue your positive outlook and continue to play and enjoy your golf and your friends and family. Atta' Girl! Love Katie S

Been away over the weekend to CT to watch 2 granddaughters perform in a local production of Sound of Music. Am a day late getting home due to poor flying conditions in the NE last night so just read you entries from last Thurs. on. Congratulations on the great results. Bob and I are thrilled. Keep aiming for that little red car in July. Susan Ruffini

Great news on the PET scan. Will keep praying for the MRI. It sounds like you are still very active and the church support is always wonderful, isn't it? Evie Miller, Dallas, TX

Pamela Congratulations on your great PET scan! I knew you could do it. Everytime I write you I remember I still have not called Drew. I have been very busy helping with the Laplata tornado disaster relief effort. It is pretty amazing the destruction these things can cause. Hope to see you soon James

Dear Pam, I'm so happy you called us directly to tell us of your great scans results. For the past two days whenever I log on to read your journal, all I see is up through the 8th. I hit F5 a couple of times to "refresh" but it only changes the hit count on the journal page. Oh, Kat, what is wrong that I'm not getting journal updates? The Guestbook entries seem to be coming through fine, but not the Journal. Love you all. Mom

Pam -- greetings from the Outer Banks! We want that Ferrari too! Actually, someone here has a black Acura NSX, which we would take instead. I don't think either would hold the child safety seats, nor our tons of stuff that we bring with us on any trip. We hope you sleep a bit better with us out of your home; we will be back to bug you on Sunday! Love, Kat, Bob, David & Andy

Dear Pam, Great scans! The Fuge reunion just keeps getting bigger and better, especially since you will be coming! I am in Gloucester now. We had a "committee" meeting today and our biggest headache will be parking. Expect anywhere from 75 to 100 relatives to gather. Don't know at least 1/2 of them, but we're all cousins (or in-laws). Just pray for a gorgeous day on June 23. Love, Mernie

Pam - Very psyched to read your latest results. Very very psyched. Love always, Beantown Drew.

Woo Hoo!!! Plum Court here we come! -tom

HOORAY!!!!!!! lolta Marcia G

5/9/02 Pam: What wonderful, wonderful news. Now next month we'll get the same report on the brain scan!!! I am so happy!!See you soon. Love and prayers Joan G.

Dearest Pam, Dad and I are soooooo happy that your PET scan showed no live cancer cells. Thank God! And thanks to all of your "guests" out there who have kept you constantly in their prayers. What a team!! We are overjoyed with the good news. (Hope I'm not jumping the gun to write this before you make the Journal announcement - thought you would get the message out sooner). We love you so much. Mom and Dad

Just remember, we (your faithful readers) like dull uneventful days. The only excitement I care to see is you breaking 100. Love, Tammy

Dr. Pam, I'm so happy to hear you are back to the land of clear vision again. Wearing bifocals isn't so bad, I've been wearing them for almost 3 years now. Infact I just recently got a new pair. Tom just about a month ago, started wearing trifocals. Since he's been doing all that computer work for the ED, it was really making his eyes extremely tired and he was starting to complain he couldn't see even when he wasn't on the computer. Now he says "it's a whole new world out there".

I want to wish you good luck with your PET scan tomorrow. Will add an additional prayer for you tonight, besides the usual ones, that every thing goes well . With all of the people praying for you I can't imagine the results being anything but good!!! You have become such an inspiration to me. Keep your sense of humor and your positive attitude, and remember there are a lot of people out there rooting for you. Most importantly, I'm sure you know that if you ask God for his help, He will not only be there for you now, He will be there for you always! Stay well. Barbara Goodrich

PS: Was thrilled to see your name back on the board at work with the other doc's names. You'll always be one of the bunch- here or not!!!

Five Hours to play that game...if I played golf, that would still beat 5 hrs. of working, but it sounds torturous, anyway. Good luck with the scan tomorrow! All my fingers are crossed, making it hard to type this. Love ya, Barb

Seeing is believing! You never realize how bad your old glasses are until you get new ones. Kind of like cleaning them off, as well. Makes you wonder how you made by with the prior glasses. Glad you can now see clearly. Evie Miller, Dallas, TX

Hey, Pam! Great going with blended lenses. They were really easy to get used to- for me, anyway. Isn't it nice to be able to read a menu? Just be a little cautious looking down, at least at first! lolta, Marcia G

Katie S.: It is definitely time to give in to bifocals. If you use computers a lot, you might even try trifocals. No one need know but you, but you will be so pleased you will tell everyone! Pam's Aunt Mernie

You've played more golf than Tammy and me!!!-Nina

HI Pam, it is fabulous to hear that you are doing so well. Keep it up!!! Dar

5/3 Pam - thank God for those uneventful days! I hope you got togolf today, and have a great weekend! - Chris

Hi Pam, You sound great!! You've been such an inspiration to me I think I'll go get my prescription for bifocals filled. It's a year old. Maybe I should get my eyes rechecked first! A sure sign of getting old was ME trying to find bra's at Belk's last week. I could see the style I wanted from 15 feet away but when I was close enough to investigate it I couldn't find it.(they were all a blur) The nice sales lady helped me actually get the right garmant in my hand but then I had to tilt my head way back to look through my reading glasses to see the price tag. OH, but it gets worse. I attempted to put the garmant back on that little hook on the bottom level, which meant I had my bottom up in the air, my head down on the lower rung level with my head and neck hyperextended, so I could see the hook through my little reading glasses, to replace the afore mentioned item. Bifocals are so you don't look like an old codger shuffling along and feeling your way through the store. Let's have lunch to compare frames! Love, Katie S.

Dear Pam, Cheer up. Your cousin Emily got her first bifocals when she was in 4th grade! Mernie

Heh, heh, heh. It's not just me. I've been pushing it for 4 years now acting like I still seeing fine. LASIK Friday! and I'll still need glasses in order to read. I'm actually hoping I can have bifocal magnifying glasses. (Oh, you look great in glasses -- bifocals or no!) -- tom

Hey great news about the eyes. Does this mean you can navigate without a magnifying glass now? Don't forget, I was 39 when I got mine...'blended lenses, and monofocal contacts. No-one knows except your thousands of faithful readers, and seeing is a good thing! Love, Barb

Bifocals aren't so bad and I don't know about taking a week or so to get used to them - neither Russ nor I had any trouble from the time we put them on our noses. It isn't necessarily a time of aging - just consider it "a little extra help" but not necessarily traumatic - we really don't know you very well but continue to admire your strength and courage (especially dealing with our government bureaucracy) please don't check spelling - I"m too lazy to check to dictionary). Barb Godfrey

Pam, It’s good to hear you complain about mundane things like doing laundry and bad golf scores. Not exciting like your trip to Australia, but boring can be very good when it means you’re not having any major problems. (You can’t count the Social Security thing. They give everyone a bad time!) Love, Connie

F.Y.I. -- Krista's Guest Book entry was number 1,000 -- does she get a prize? -- Kat
